Zsombor Kemény

He was born in Budapest in 1973. He has been dealing with the making and restoring of stringed instruments since 1993. He obtained the basics of the profession from Tibor Szemelweisz Jr. in 1995. After the completion of his studies he worked in the Semmelweis workshop, where later he became the manager. In April 2003 with colleague Márton Székely he founded a workshop called "AD ARCO". Along with making copies and antiqued instruments he also does restorations and bow repairs. In 2004 he passed a master's examination. Since 1995 he has participated in all national exhibitions.

Márton Székely

He was born in Budapest in 1970. From 1989 he studied in the International Violin Making School of Cremona (IPIALL) under the guidance of Vincenzo Bissolotti. In 1993 he obtained the Italian Master degree. Having spent time in several Italian workshops, he later worked in Graz, Vienna, Budapest and Sopron. In 2000 he moved back to Budapest. Since 2003 he has been working in the workshop that he founded with Zsombor Kemény. His instruments represent the highest level of the modern Cremonese violin making style. In 2004 he passed the master's examination in Budapest. He has participated in most national and some international exhibitions.
